Kaluga skier Alexander Andrienko took bronze in Altai. International competitions and the Cup of Russia in Alpine skiing were held here with the participation of 122 athletes from 22 regions of the Russian Federation, the regional Ministry of Sports reports on Monday, January 30.

“Until January 31, the Manzherok resort near the village of Ozernoye in the Altai Republic hosts international competitions and the Russian Cup in alpine skiing. 122 participants from 22 subjects of the Russian Federation, including from Argentina, the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan, competed in the slalom. Kaluzhanin Alexander Andrienko won a bronze medal at the international tournament,” the ministry said.

Among the 70 athletes who have already started, two Kaluga residents also have good results. Artyom Zhogolev showed the 11th time in the sum of two attempts, and Egor Aptiev took the 15th line of the final protocol.

Today, at the Russian Cup competitions, Andrienko will be able to please the Kaluga residents in his signature form – giant slalom.

Alexander Andrienko is an athlete from Obninsk, an international master of sports of Russia, a participant in two Olympiads – in Pyeongchang – 2018 and in Beijing-2022, a representative of the Orlyonok school.
