Kaluga karatekas took medals at International competitions. The “Petersburg Autumn” karate competition took place in St. Petersburg. All-Russian and interregional competitions were also held as part of the tournament, reports the Ministry of Sports of the Kaluga Region.
More than 800 athletes from 15 countries took to the tatami. As a result, Kaluga resident Dobrynya Mayorov took 3rd place in the 10-11 year old kata category. Grigory Lysenkov won silver in the category of boys 10-11 years old up to 38 kg. Nikita Kolganov was literally one step away from a medal at the All-Russian competition. Kaluzhan is coached by Natalya Konopelcheva.
Anastasia Klestova at international competitions in women’s fights became a silver medalist in the weight category up to 55 kg.
