Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas does not agree with the opinion of the country’s President Alar Karis about the need for her resignation. In an interview with ERR radio news of the republic, she said that the prime minister is appointed by the parliament by a majority vote, and by the same majority, the parliament can remove her from office in accordance with the procedure provided for by the Constitution.
She also noted that she enjoys the support of coalition partners and her party, and she will be prime minister as long as this support continues. Kallas is confident that she has no reason to doubt the support of her political allies yet.
Earlier, the President of Estonia said that he would prefer that the head of government resign from the very beginning of the events, because of which she was at the center of the scandal. He believes that such a decision would be more sparing in relation to Kallas herself, her family, the efficiency of the government and the credibility of Estonia’s messages.
In late August, the media reported that the transport company Stark Logistics, partly owned by the prime minister’s husband Arvo Hallik, continued to cooperate with Russia after the start of the NWO, despite Kallas’ active demands in the EU for additional anti-Russian sanctions.
There was also information about the significant income of the company’s husband Callas from Russian supplies. Last year she earned 1.1 million euros, this year – 475,000. In addition, Kallas provided a loan of 350 thousand euros to develop her husband’s company.
In response to demands from the opposition, the media and many pollsters to resign, Kallas announced her refusal to step down as prime minister.
