The Northwestern Federal District swimming championship has ended in Kaliningrad. It took place at the Yunost Sports Palace.

According to the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region, more than 350 athletes from nine regions of the Northwestern Federal District took part. The Kaliningrad swimmers team performed with a record number of 65 participants. The team managed to receive more than 40 awards, including 13 gold.

At past competitions, Matvey Pinegin swam 100 meters on his back in 1 minute 0.94 seconds. This is a new record for the Kaliningrad region among athletes under 15 years of age.

Previously “MK in Kaliningrad” reportedthat the Kaliningrad speed skater received bronze at the All-Russian tournament “Sochi Olympus”. The competition took place in the Yaroslavl region.
