According to the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region, the athlete from Kaliningrad won third place in the Russian freestyle wrestling championship. The national tournament was held in Dagestan on the basis of the Ali Aliyev Sports Palace. Russia was represented by 183 athletes from 35 regions.
Alexandra Andreeva from the Center for Sports Training of National Teams of the Kaliningrad Region won three out of four matches: the girl defeated two rivals from Moscow with a score of 4:0, and the semifinal ended in a draw – 3:3, but the victory was awarded to her opponent in the last action. Alexandra again won the fight for the third place and was awarded bronze.
