Former Secretary of the Council of Economic and Public Security of Chechnya, Apty Alaudinov, has been appointed commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia Directorate (UNM) of the Luhansk People’s Republic. He was awarded the military rank of Major General.
Mr. Kadyrov signed an order to remove Apta Alaudinov from the post of Secretary of the Economic and Public Security Council of Chechnya on October 31, and this became publicly known on November 2. Today, November 3, Mr. Kadyrov explained why he signed the order to dismiss Apta Alaudinov.
“Because of his exceptional merits and because of Apta Aronovich’s desire to remain in the combat zone to the bitter end, I consider it right to appoint him deputy commander for combat operations of the 2nd Army Corps of the UNM LPR,” Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in Telegram channel. At the same time, he noted that Apty Alaudinov agreed to the appointment only on condition that he retained the status of assistant to the head of Chechnya.
Ramzan Kadyrov called the appointment of the former secretary of the Security Council “a well-deserved promotion.” The head of Chechnya wrote that under the leadership of Apta Alaudinov, Akhmat was on the line of contact 200 km away. “For the entire time he was in command, the fighters did not take a single step back, but only methodically moved forward, inflicting losses on the enemy,” Mr. Kadyrov said.
Apty Alaudinov is a retired police major general. Until 2021, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya. In August, Apty Alaudinov was awarded the title of Hero of Russia and Hero of the LPR.
