The personnel of the “West-Akhmat” battalion began work in the border area of the Belgorod region, taking up duty at a checkpoint near two settlements. About it informed Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in his Telegram channel.
“In the area of the settlement of Nekhoteevka, our fighters are strengthening on the territory of the checkpoint. Now the border is closed for bandits. Our units took up duty at the checkpoint near the village of Kazinka, Graivoronsky district,” he wrote.
Earlier, this checkpoint was attacked by militants of the Russian Volunteer Corps, Kadyrov recalled. According to him, the inhabitants of the border areas are now protected from enemy units.
Earlier today, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov informedthat the Akhmat units are working smoothly in all directions, destroying the enemy and “confidently advancing in the Maryinsky direction.” “Most importantly, we have everything we need to complete our tasks. There are no problems,” the MP said.
On June 13, Kadyrov announced that the fighters of the West-Akhmat battalion would be involved in the work to prevent sabotage attacks by the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU). On this occasion, Delimkhanov met with Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, as well as with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard. The parties discussed issues of preventing breakthroughs by sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs).
Kadyrov spoke about the idea of sending Chechen forces to the Belgorod region to fight groups of saboteurs on June 5. In his opinion, the elimination of saboteurs requires not only military, but also anti-terrorist experience, which the fighters of the republic’s units have.
