Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of ​​building a new mosque in Moscow. The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, spoke about this on Thursday, September 28.

The politician in his Telegram channel revealed the details of the meeting with the head of state, which took place earlier on September 28. As Kadyrov clarified, during the meeting he raised the issue of building a mosque on the street named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov in South Butovo. Putin approved this initiative.

Kadyrov expressed gratitude to the president “for such a valuable gift,” and also thanked him for everything that Putin is doing to strengthen and develop our multinational state.

Earlier, during a trip to Dagestan, the head of state recalled that the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, always called Muslims brothers. Putin emphasized that “this is so,” and also noted that “This strengthens the unity of our people”.
