The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that he bought his horse Zaza for $18,000 (almost 1.4 million rubles). He wrote about this in his telegram channel.
The horse came under European sanctions and has been in the Czech Republic since 2014. Kadyrov said that at the beginning of the year he was contacted by representatives of the Ukrainian special services, who offered to buy Zaza.
“To be honest, I thought that Zazu would be transferred somehow officially, with the lifting of sanctions from him and the like. But it turned out that the secret services had a daring plan – they simply staged his theft from a stable in the Czech Republic in collusion with the Czech police,” Kadyrov wrote.
He added that the operation to rescue the horse was estimated at 18 thousand dollars. However, Kadyrov believes that these are “mere pennies” compared to the real cost of the animal.
