Kabanov: a digital portrait of 30% of Russians has been compiled in Ukraine

In Ukraine, a single resource was created from stolen personal data. These data made it possible to create a digital portrait of 30% of Russians, informed Kirill Kabanov, head of the National Terrorist Committee.
According to him, we are talking about medical information, among other things. This poses a huge threat to the personal security of citizens and the strategic security of the country.
Experts do not believe that 90% of the stolen information was stolen by foreign hackers. In their opinion, this is an attempt by specific individuals to evade responsibility for the leak and direct theft of data from certain companies.
Kabanov stressed that the task of toughening responsibility for leaking citizens’ data is carried out without much enthusiasm. He admitted that the active introduction of biometrics, which the Ministry of Digital Development so sought, would increase the risks for citizens.
“But the main thing is that the issue of criminal liability for the illegal circulation of personal data, the need for the introduction of which has been officially announced by the HRC for several years, is generally being pushed aside,” Kabanov complained.
Some members of the HRC believe that the absence of criminal liability for identity theft nullifies the effectiveness of turnover fines. Probably, this is exactly what the big players of the “digital market”, who only care about their own profit, are striving for.
