He won a bronze medal with the Italian national team at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the 1988 European Championship. Also, the footballer has the title of top scorer in the Italian Championship (1990/1991) and top scorer in the Italian Cup (1988/1989).
In 1998, Gianluca Vialli took over as Chelsea manager. Under him, the team won the League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup. Later, he joined the coaching staff of the Italian national team, which won the European Championship 2020. Vialli left this post in December 2022 due to illness.
