Sochi athlete Ekaterina Koneva became the winner of the Russian Track and Field Cup in the triple jump. Competitions were held in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
Koneva showed her best result in the first attempt. Despite the headwind, the 2013 vice-champion of the world managed to fly 14 meters and 30 centimeters. The rest of the winners are far behind. Muscovite Daria Nidbaykina has a result of 13.82 m, Valentina Kosolapova (Volgograd region) has 13.32 m.
– The result is good. I realized that today I can jump far. But during the competition, the wind was constantly blowing in the face, and it was also drizzling. Therefore, it was not possible to improve the result any more. And soon after the competition, the sun came out, – said Ekaterina Koneva in an interview with the press service of the All-Russian Athletics Federation.
