More than 500 of Russia’s strongest athletes competed for 15 sets of medals. The tournament took place in the city of Kemerovo.
The judokas previously qualified for the federal district championships. Additionally, athletes who won major national and international tournaments were admitted.
A graduate of the Pyatigorsk club “Olympian” Armen Agayan won the final over Abubakar Isaev from Chechnya. He received gold in the weight category up to 73 kilograms, the press service of the Pyatigorsk administration reported.
Currently, Armen plays for St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.
