Journalist Andrei Karaulov said that he had previously been a witness in a libel case initiated at the request of the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov. He added that he did not know his exact status in the case at the moment. Mr. Karaulov also said that he was abroad for treatment, but was going to return to Russia.

In his opinion, searches in his house took place because of Sergei Chemezov’s statement about slander.
