Jordan announced the start of the evacuation of its citizens from the Gaza Strip

Jordanian citizens will be able to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint, reported at the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The evacuation was agreed with the Egyptian authorities, the foreign ministry said in a statement on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Earlier media wrotethat Egypt has opened the Rafah checkpoint on the border with the Gaza Strip for the passage of wounded and foreign citizens.
On November 1, the Palestinian group Hamas published lists of citizens who are allowed to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint. Among them are citizens of Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Finland, the Czech Republic and Japan. It was also reported that Palestinians with dual citizenship and employees of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and NGOs operating in Gaza will be able to leave Gaza.
On October 21, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced the inadmissibility of the resettlement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the Sinai Peninsula. He also called for international protection for the “Palestinian people and innocent civilians” in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7. The Israel Defense Forces responded by launching Operation Iron Swords. According to the latest data, more than 9,000 people have died as a result of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Gaza reported 8,005 dead in the Israeli strikes, and about 1,400 people were killed in Israel after the group’s attack.
The Israeli army announced on October 27 that it was expanding its ground operation in the enclave and called on residents of the northern Gaza Strip to move to the south, promising them humanitarian assistance. The army representative stated that the Israeli army was moving to a “new phase” of the war with Hamas. At the same time, Israeli Ambassador to the Russian Federation Alexander Ben Zvi clarified that Israel has not yet launched a full-scale ground operation in Gaza.
