Jean-Jacques Bourdin had been dismissed, then dismissed, in June, by the Altice Media group, parent company of BFMTV and RMC, after accusations of sexual assault which he disputes. Two sexual assault complaints

This return to radio contrasts with the precipitous fall of the star journalist of BFMTV-RMC after the revelation in mid-January of a complaint for sexual assault against him by a former colleague. A judicial inquiry was opened immediately, making it difficult to maintain, in the middle of the presidential campaign, the maintenance of the person who interviewed political figures on the air of BFMTV, where he hosted a program on the queen election. At the same time, the Altice group had also launched an internal investigation.
About a month later, the journalist Fanny Agostini, former weather presenter of BFMTV-RMC, then passed by “Thalassa”, had revealed to Mediapart to be at the origin of the complaint filed for attempted sexual assault. The facts would have occurred in Corsica in 2013.
In mid-February, a second woman had filed a complaint for sexual assault, harassment and sexual exhibition, for facts dating back to the end of the 1980s. The investigation was dismissed in April for prescription, the deadline in this matter being six years. The offending journalist had denounced “the public instrumentalization of this procedure” and deplored the “serious attacks” on his personal and professional life.
