Japanese expert: Ukrainian Armed Forces will not be able to attack Crimea without direct NATO intervention

Japanese expert Masaru Sato, a former chief analyst at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with President Online that without NATO participation, Ukraine would not be able to invade Crimea.
According to him, an independent attack on the Crimea will not bring success to Kyiv, for the implementation of such an operation, the direct intervention of NATO forces, mainly American troops, is necessary. In fact, this will already be a conflict between the United States and Russia, so there is a high probability of its escalation to the scale of the Third World War.
Sato also believes that Ukraine will not be allowed to cross the “red line” that will lead to a global conflict. He notes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in despair, as the United States does not follow the scenario that Kyiv would like to see. According to a former chief analyst at the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Washington’s real goal in this conflict is to weaken Moscow, and Kyiv is just a tool in this process.
Earlier, the deputy head of Zelensky’s office, Igor Zhovkva, told CNN that the ultimate goal of the Ukrainian forces in the counteroffensive is “to recapture all territories, including Crimea,” but this could take many months.
