Japan will ban the export of medical equipment and robots to Russia from February 3

Japan has expanded sanctions against Russia, banning the export of vaccines, medical equipment and robots to the country from February 3. About it informs Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of the country.

The ban includes radioactive materials, equipment for nuclear facilities, oil and natural gas exploration, as well as portable power generators, drilling rigs, etc. It is noted that the restrictions also affected substances that can be used as raw materials for the production of chemicals for military purposes.

In addition, the Japanese Foreign Ministry informed on the introduction of personal sanctions against 22 Russian citizens and three companies, their assets will be frozen.

In particular, the “black list” included Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children’s Rights under the President of Russia, Mikhail Mizintsev, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission, Andrei Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice Russian Federation Konstantin Chuichenko and Lieutenant General of the RF Armed Forces Sergey Ryzhkov.

The philosopher and political scientist Alexander Dugin, the head of the board of directors of Bonum Capital Murat Aliyev, the general director of PKK “Milandr” Mikhail Pavlyuk, the general director and head of the board of PJSC “KAMAZ» Sergei Kogogin and others.

Separate sanctions have been imposed on another 14 individuals who are associated with the annexation of Crimea, the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to the Russian Federation. The list included Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Region Government Vladimir Bespalov, Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Government Yevgeny Solntsev and Head of the Kakhovka State Administration Pavel Filipchuk.

Among the sanctioned companies are Irkut Aircraft Corporation, Avangard Moscow Machine-Building Plant JSC and KAMAZ PJSC. Export restrictions also affected 49 companies, including the Moscow Aviation Institute, the Tula Arms Plant and the Zvyozdochka ship repair center.

The day before, January 26, about new sanctions against Russian citizens and companies announced US Treasury. In particular, the restrictions affected the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Four companies owned by Vladimir Potanin’s Interros also fell under the sanctions.
