Japan initiates self-destruction of H3 launch vehicle, mission fails

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has initiated the self-destruction of its latest heavy-duty launch vehicle, the H3.
The day before, it was successfully launched exactly until the moment when the second stage engine was supposed to start. That did not happen.
The entire event was broadcast live.
JAXA decided to self-destruct the rocket when it became clear that the H3 mission would not be achieved.
The launch vehicle was supposed to put into orbit the Japanese satellite ALOS-3, designed to monitor natural disasters. H3 is Japan’s largest liquid-fueled launch vehicle, 63 m long, 5.2 m in diameter, with a payload capacity of up to 6.5 tons.
