Japanese scientists have found that the peak of infection with various airborne diseases, including coronavirus infection, occurs in the first five seconds after a person comes into contact with the source of infection.
Based on this information, experts concluded that if there is good ventilation in the room and high speed of movement in it, the likelihood of contracting COVID-19 is reduced.
Experts have recommended holding your breath for at least five seconds after a person coughs or sneezes when you are close to them. In addition, scientists advise maintaining a distance of one meter from sick people and quickly leaving poorly ventilated rooms, RT reports.
Meanwhile, a seasonal increase in the incidence of viral infections, including COVID-19, began in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Therefore, it has been decided that all patients coming to hospitals in the region with symptoms of ARVI, test for coronavirus.
There are 284 cases of coronavirus infection in Tatarstan discovered within a week, 92 sick people sought hospital care. At the same time, during the period from October 9 to October 15, Tatarstan doctors did not register any deaths from COVID-19.
