Members of the “Congress of People’s Deputies” (included in the list of undesirable organizations), created by former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev (recognized as a foreign agent), were searched, they report “News” And RT. According to the publications, searches took place in Moscow and several Russian regions. In particular, as Izvestia writes, law enforcement officers came to a member of the Yabloko party and a former municipal deputy of the Bryansk region. Law enforcement agencies believe that they took part in the meetings of the “Congress” at which the “new Constitution of the Russian Federation” was adopted.
Galina Filchenko, a former candidate for the State Duma from the Yabloko party, told OVD-Info (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) about the search in her apartment. According to Ms. Filchenko, her phone, deputy badges and two foreign passports were confiscated, and she was also summoned for questioning. She clarified that the search was initiated as part of “some new case” in which she is a witness. Galina Filchenko does not know the reasons for his excitement.
In May 2023, Galina Filchenko and some other politicians were already searched as part of criminal cases against Ilya Ponomarev. The case was opened under an article about the dissemination of fakes about the Russian army.
