The 2023-2024 season was revolutionary for the development of volleyball in the Ivanovo region. Previously, Ivanovo was represented in volleyball competitions at the amateur level, but 2023 became a turning point. Ivanovsky “Textilshchik” became the bronze medalist of the First League among amateur teams in the spring. Success in the First League gave Tekstilshchik the opportunity to receive a promotion and make his debut in the Major League “B”.
Tekstilshchik’s debut at the professional level was a success. The red-blacks finished the calendar year 2023 in 3rd place in the standings, having suffered only 4 defeats in 6 rounds. The club from Ivanovo turned out to be weaker in meetings against “Dagestan”, “Kristall-Cherkizovo” and “Dynamo-MSTU” from Maykop. The success and rapid adaptation of “Textilshchik” at a professional level came as a pleasant surprise.
At the end of January, Tekstilshchik Ivanovo will play on its home floor for the second time during the 2023-2024 season. As part of the 8th round of the Major League “B”, the volleyball players of the Ivanovo “Textilshchik” will play matches on the parquet of the Palace of Team Sports. The red-blacks will fight for victory against Kolos and Apsny.
