The agency, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, explains that the Interior Ministry and the Italian Ministry of Sports have signed an agreement of intent aimed at eradicating anti-Semitism in football stadiums.
Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said the initiative would make a “great contribution” to the development of football.
There is also a ban on the use by fans of symbols that may be reminiscent of Nazism.
Fans will not be able to use discriminatory language at any public events.
