Italian PM offers condolences on death of Toto Cutugno

The Prime Minister of Italy expressed condolences on the death of popular Italian singer Toto Cutugno. George Meloni posted a photo of Cutugno on social networks, accompanied by a quote from his song. The head of government called the performer “a real Italian.”
Italian Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano also responded to the death of an idol of several generations. He noted that with the death of Toto Cutugno, the world has lost a popular and important artist.
The ANSA agency writes that the performer died in the San Raffaele hospital in Milan after a long illness. According to some reports, he suffered from prostate cancer – the disease has worsened in recent months.
Toto Cutugno turned 80 on July 7.
