Corriere della Sera identified 5 main problems of Zelensky
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky currently has 5 main problems, writes the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The newspaper notes a decrease in Western support, a drop in popularity in Ukraine, growing pessimism about the situation at the front, the emergence of internal opposition and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The publication mentions polls indicating that Zelensky’s popularity is declining, and fewer and fewer Ukrainians believe that the country is on the right track. This is interpreted as a sign of population fatigue from the conflict.
On the front, there is disappointment from the summer counter-offensive; Ukrainians trust less and less “the leadership qualities of Zelensky, who often interferes in strategic choices.”
Recalling the alleged conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny, Corriere della Sera reports, citing Ukrainian sources, that there is a confidential survey that showed approximately equal ratings for the commander-in-chief and the president in the event of an election duel.
The second possible opponent is the mayor of Kyiv Klitschko, who recently publicly criticized the president and said that Zelensky “will pay for his mistakes at the end of the war.”
As for the Russian leadership, it, as the newspaper writes, “feels strong again, relying on a growing economy and a favorable military situation.”
