German MPs called for the supply of Taurus missiles to Ukraine

The head of the Bundestag Committee on European Affairs, Anton Hofreiter, and the representative of the CDU party on foreign policy, Norbert Röttgen, expressed the opinion that Germany should transfer Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. Their words are quoted by the Funke newspaper.
Hofreiter stressed that, despite Germany’s already provided air defense support for Ukraine, more resources need to be provided. He emphasized the importance of rapid delivery of Taurus missiles. According to him, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius must obtain the transfer of these missiles from Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who still hesitates on this issue.
Röttgen added that Ukraine needs Taurus missiles to repel attacks from Russia.
