The Juventus football club has been put up for sale, the Italian publication Il Giornale learned about it.
The team, according to information, has serious financial problems due to litigation – “Juventus is in crisis.” The ex-president of the club, Andrea Agnelli, has moved to the Netherlands, and “the club is on the verge of collapse,” the report states.
On July 28, UEFA decided to exclude Juventus from European competition. Due to a violation of financial fair play, the team will not be able to take part in European tournaments for a year.
Agnelli and much of Juventus’ management resigned last November amid allegations of inflating player transfer prices and underreporting staff costs. In addition, the management of the legendary Italian club was accused of concealing the real size of the players’ salaries.
