A source in the power structures of Crimea told reporters that the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which remained in Sevastopol after the reunification of the peninsula with Russia in 2014, will not be transferred to the Black Sea Fleet.
According to the source, these 20 ships, including the large landing ship “Konstantin Olshansky”, the corvettes “Ternopil”, Lutsk, and the control ship “Slavutich”, are subject to disposal.
“The decision was made not to transfer these ships to Ukraine, but to cut them up, but the dismantling process for individual ships was suspended due to the need to ensure the safety of our ships,” he said.
