Large banks refuse to issue soft loans to IT companies without collateral of movable and immovable property, the heads of three Russian IT companies told Vedomosti.
Today, Russia has two preferential lending programs for the IT sector: a digital transformation lending program and a program for backbone IT companies. The first one has been operating since 2020 and should last until 2024, about 30 IT companies have used it, a representative of the Ministry of Digital Development told Vedomosti. The second was launched in April 2022 and is valid until the end of the year. 14 companies received loans on it.
