Madrid intends to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine after Easter
The Spanish authorities intend to transfer the first six Leopard tanks to Ukraine immediately after Easter, which is celebrated by Catholics this year on April 9th. This is reported by Pais, citing sources in the Spanish Cabinet.
Spain will send six Leopard A4 tanks to Ukraine immediately after Easter.
It is noted that the vehicles have already been repaired and this week they are taking part in firing at a training ground in the south of the country. After passing the combat certification, they will be sent by sea to Poland, after which the vehicles will be redirected to Ukraine.
It became known yesterday that Ukraine received three Leopard 2A6 tanks from Portugal.
Earlier, Russia sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Kyiv. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that arms shipments would become a legitimate target for the Russian Federation.
