The match for the chess crown between Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) and Ding Liren (China) will take place from 7 to 30 April. The timing is reported on the website of the International Chess Federation.
In early July 2022, the Russian became the winner of the Candidates Tournament in Madrid, thus winning the right to play world champion Magnus Carlsen again. But the Norwegian officially refused to play the match for the world chess crown.
Later it became known that Nepomniachtchi would fight for the world crown with Ding Liren, who won silver at the Candidates Tournament.
The venue for the match has not yet been determined.
