This is evidenced by the data of a new survey conducted by the research center of the SuperJob.ru portal.
According to the study, 25% of men are definitely ready to go on maternity leave, another 12% of respondents consider this “quite likely.” Two thirds completely exclude this possibility.
According to analysts, over the past year, cases of men going on maternity leave have been recorded in every eighth Russian company.
According to current Russian legislation, only women can take maternity leave in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. A man – regardless of whether he is a father or a grandfather – can take “maternity” leave to care for a child of up to one and a half years.
