FSB officers detained Deputy Minister of Health of the Moscow Region Alexander Zakharov while receiving a bribe in the amount of 150 million rubles, reports lenta.ru citing a law enforcement source.
A criminal case has been initiated against the official under an article providing for liability for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale as part of an organized group.
Zakharov was responsible for major repairs and maintenance of health care buildings. On January 16, 2024, he was dismissed at his own request.
