ISW: Russia began to strengthen forces in the LDNR and Zaporozhye region

The American analytical center “Institute for the Study of War” (ISW), assessing Russia’s actions during the special operation, reported that the Russian military is beginning to strengthen its position in the LPR, DPR and eastern Zaporozhye region with personnel from the Kherson region and mobilized military personnel.
There is an increase in the number of Russian troops in Lugansk, the military personnel are stationed in Krasnoye and Simeykino, 30 km from Lugansk. Airborne troops were transferred from the Kherson region to the LPR. Part of the units arrives in Novoaydar, 55 km east of Severodonetsk. The redeployed personnel and equipment also arrived in Mariupol, and from there they are sent to the western front line of the Donetsk region. Some units are heading towards the Gulyai-Polye direction in the eastern part of the Zaporozhye region.
In addition, it is reported that in the Brest region of Belarus, the mobilized units of the Russian 2nd motorized rifle division of the 1st tank army have completed training. ISW analysts suggest that in the coming weeks they will also be redeployed to the NVO zone, where offensive operations of the RF Armed Forces may begin.
