Israeli shelling of the town of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza killed 13 people and wounded 15 more.

According to the Iranian agency Tasnimat least 13 people were killed and another 15 were injured as a result of an Israeli military rocket attack on a residential building in the town of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The agency reported that as a result of the shelling of residential areas in Khan Yunis, “13 people were killed, 15 were injured from the explosion of a residential building.” Among the dead were nine children.

The situation in the Middle East has deteriorated significantly after the infiltration of militants of the Palestinian Hamas movement from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7. Radicals called this attack a response to the actions of the Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. In response, Israel announced a complete blockade of Gaza and began carrying out strikes on the strip, as well as certain areas of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes also occur in the West Bank.
