There are currently no prerequisites for resuming negotiations on the Gaza Strip in Qatar, Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, at this stage “everything is as before, there is no news.”
“I know that various parties are making some attempts. But so far these attempts have not led to any success. At this stage, I don’t see this,” he said, speaking about possible prerequisites for resuming negotiations.
Earlier, The New York Times wrote that Israel could, at the request of the United States, reduce the intensity of the military operation in the Gaza Strip and stop full-scale military operations. At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the day before that the campaign against Hamas would last “more than several months.”
Earlier, US President Biden made a harsh statement against Israel, noting the indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip.
