Islamic Jihad confirms truce with Israel

The Islamic Jihad radical group banned in Russia (recognized as a terrorist group) has concluded a truce with Israel, as reported by AFP.
The head of the political department of the group, Mohammed al-Hindi, noted that the truce will come into force at 23:30 Moscow time. The mediator from Egypt will announce the entry into force of the ceasefire.
Earlier on Sunday, the Prime Minister of the Jewish State, Yair Lapid, claimed that the goals of the military operation in the Gaza Strip for Israel had been achieved. According to him, there is no point in continuing it. However, later the Israeli Defense Minister Benny Ganz instructed the security forces to prepare for the continuation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
Before that, it was reported that the establishment of a ceasefire in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is frustrated due to the demands of the radical Islamic Jihad group for Egypt to provide it with a number of guarantees. This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel.
