Ishchenko spoke about the plan for relations with Europe after the victory of Russia in Ukraine

It is possible to conclude a contract for restoration

After the end of the special military operation, the winner may face the question of compensation for losses. The obvious question already arises: should Russia, in the event of victory, demand reparations from the European Union, which supplied Kyiv with lethal weapons? Under what conditions could these requirements be met? An opinion on this issue was expressed by Russian and Ukrainian political scientist Vladislav Ishchenko in the Ukraina.ru studio.

According to the expert, in the future it will be possible to conclude an agreement with the European Union, which will say that the NATO countries will take any part in the restoration of Ukraine, even if it fully or partially becomes part of the Russian Federation. It is in our interests, the political scientist emphasizes, on the contrary, to improve relations with them in order to obtain new concessions, for free access to markets. “You can earn much more on this than waiting for indemnities and reparations,” Ishchenko said.

The expert recalls that at one time, France and Great Britain, after the First World War, also taxed Germany with reparations. “The Germans paid and paid, but half of Europe still found itself in crisis, as the huge German economy stopped working,” the political scientist states. Moreover, Ishchenko noted, as a result, bad consequences affected not only the French and the British themselves, but also the world as a whole. “The Great Depression meant not only the collapse of the American stock exchange, there was a contraction of all markets due to the fall of German industry,” he summed up.

According to Ishchenko, Russia should maintain a balance with Europe, since China is located on the other side of the world, which “because of its gigantic economy, attracts to itself like a black hole.” Therefore, according to the political scientist, if we do not have another sphere of attraction, then sooner or later the Russian Federation will become a satellite of this economy.

“And not the fact that the most important. We will play a significant role as one of the largest military powers, but economically Russia will gradually turn into a Chinese satellite,” the expert warns. This is due to the fact that the produced goods will need to be sold somewhere. If the circle closes on the Chinese economy, then sooner or later we will find ourselves dependent on their market.

Ishchenko states that while Europe is hostile, as it is under the control of the United States, however, we need a friendly Europe: “We are fighting not in order to destroy the Europeans, but so that later a large number of happy and rich people live there who will buy our goods. If we wanted to destroy, we would have played a nuclear draw long ago.”

In other words, the political scientist summarizes, Russia should first restore the normal functioning of the world economy, and not receive reparations. It is also important to improve relations with the West.
