Utilities did not clean the streets, and the post office did not deliver packages. A strike also took place at some energy company enterprises.
The Finnish Ministry of Defense signed a bilateral agreement with the United States – the head of the department, Antti Häkkänen, informed that the document specifies 15 territories that can be used by the US military. This caused massive indignation among the residents of Finland.
