Newspaper Irish Examiner reported that in Ireland refugees from Ukraine are afraid to complain about living conditions in local hotels, as they fear that they may be expelled.
According to Emma Lane-Spollen, coordinator of the Headquarters for Civil Society Assistance in Ukraine, refugees do not complain about living conditions because of “fears that they will be evicted.”
“At the same time, there are cases of very poor living conditions in Ireland. Some refugees are forced to live in rooms with mold and damp,” she said.
She clarified that most hotels provide “impeccable” accommodation, but there are exceptions.
