Rhythmic gymnastics coach Irina Viner called on Russian athletes to look for alternatives to the Olympics. In her opinion, the Games have become not only politicized, but no longer correspond to the values of Russians.
“We cannot perform without a flag and an anthem, – stated Wiener “Sport-Express”. “We should move away from the format of the Olympic Games and create our own alternative competitions.”
According to the coach, the modern “Olympics does not meet the ideas of Pierre Coubertin”, expressed in the phrase “Faster! Higher! Stronger!”, due to politics, and also because of the participation in competitions of “a new formation of a person called transgender.”
