Iran's leader promises Israel a 'slap in the face' after Damascus consulate attack

The leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, promised Israel that it would “get a slap in the face” after a missile attack on the diplomatic corps in Damascus.

About it writes Agence France-Presse. Earlier, Iranian leaders publicly called for revenge for the strike, promising that it would not go unanswered.

Israeli military struck on the Mezzeh neighborhood in western Damascus, where the Iranian embassy and consulate are located, last Monday with six missiles from F-35 fighters.

The airstrike killed 13 people, including Iranian generals.
