Iran releases two Greek tankers

Greek Shipping and Insular Policy Minister Yiannis Plakiotakis said on Wednesday that Iran had released two Greek tankers that were detained in May. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
On May 27, two Greek tankers were detained in the Persian Gulf by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran.
This happened after Athens, at the request of the United States, arrested the tanker Lana sailing under the Russian flag and the court ruled to confiscate the Iranian oil in the tanker in favor of the Americans.
In Greece, Iran’s actions were compared to an “act of piracy.”
