Apple’s recently launched iPhone 15 Pro gets so hot in some situations that it’s impossible to touch them. Such complaints from people who bought the latest iPhone model are reported by The Wall Street Journal. The publication’s journalists checked this themselves and confirmed the validity of consumer complaints.

Buyers of the device in China, the USA and Canada complained about the strong heating of the smartphone. Overheating mainly occurs while the device is charging or when using certain applications, such as energy-consuming games. According to customer reviews, they recorded the iPhone 15 Pro Max heating up to 41 degrees during charging. When the device was played simultaneously with the charging process, it heated up to 44 degrees. And when downloading the mobile game Genshin Impact over a 5G smartphone network or while playing it, the temperature of the device even reached 50 degrees. Users also note that the iPhone 14 Pro also experienced cases of heating up to 44 degrees. But both devices did not overheat when the user simply spoke on it, wrote messages, accessed social networks, etc.

According to experts, overheating of the iPhone 15 Pro may be due to the fact that this model is made to be light and compact, and its body does not cope with heat dissipation, as happened in previous models. According to Apple product expert Ming Chi Ko from TF International Securities, the use of titanium in the iPhone 15 Pro Max models may also have an effect. Titanium is a poor conductor of heat, making it difficult for heat to escape from the device.
