Investigative Committee opened a criminal case after the murder of a businessman in the Zaporozhye region

The Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Zaporozhye region opened a criminal case after the murder of businessman Sergei Didovodyuk, under whose car an improvised explosive device was planted. About it informs press service of the regional department.

The case was initiated on the fact of murder in a generally dangerous way and attempted murder (paragraph “e” part 2 of article 105, part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a, e” part 2 of article 105, part 1 article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Investigators are now conducting investigative and operational search activities to identify those involved in the crime.

According to the Investigative Committee, on June 2, an unknown person planted an improvised explosive device under the entrepreneur’s car. It worked near a cafe located on the street. Pushkin in the urban-type settlement Mikhailovka, when the businessman got into the car. As a result, a fire broke out, the man died in the hospital from his injuries.

Investigators specified that a man and a woman were with him in the cabin. The man was injured and was taken to the hospital, the woman received a concussion, but refused to be hospitalized.

On June 2, member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov informed about the death of a local businessman Sergei Didovodyuk as a result of a car explosion. He clarified that two more people were injured. Rogov called the incident a terrorist attack.

According to the official, Didovodyuk actively participated in the restoration of peaceful life in the Zaporozhye region. The Ukrainian portal TSN writes that the businessman owned the Hetman cafe. Rogov noted that Didovodyuk regularly fed the needy for free in the institution. The entrepreneur also took part in the socio-political life of the region, the official added.
