The device can be used by both sick and healthy people

A patent for a mask with which you can not be afraid to chill your throat was recently patented by inventors from Kostroma. Their new development is intended primarily for medical purposes, but healthy people can also use it.

As it became known to MK, the device consists of a mask, to which a pipeline with a heating element and a fan for supplying air is attached, a controller and, as an option, a body temperature sensor.

A heating element made in the form of a spiral passes around the pipeline, in the upper part of the pipe there is a temperature sensor for the supplied air, in the lower part there is a tube for supplying oxygen. The controller regulates the air temperature and oxygen supply. The “decisions” about how warm the air should be and what should be the proportion of oxygen, he makes, taking into account the temperature sensor mounted on the body. The body and air temperature sensors, as well as the ventilator, communicate wirelessly with the controller.

The inventors explained that the device is most needed by sick people whose body is fighting infection. One of the main mechanisms of struggle is an increase in body temperature: when it rises by only one degree, the rate of biochemical reactions in the body increases 10 times, due to this, the process of formation of antibodies that fight infection is also accelerated. Warm air, which is supplied through the mask, helps maintain the temperature of the entire body. Similar developments were made before, the innovation of the Kostroma invention was the use of a controller that makes the device “smart”.
