International Olympiad Romanian Master of Mathematics starts in Bucharest

Four Russian schoolchildren will represent our country at the XIV International Olympiad Romanian Master of Mathematics, starting in Bucharest. Three members of the team are students of the Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239: Alisa Volkova, Roman Kuznetsov and Eldar Khisamutdinov. Another member of the team is a student of Lyceum No. 533 Pavel Prozorov.
The Romanian Master of Mathematics International Olympiad is a practice tournament traditionally held before the 64th International Mathematical Olympiad. This year it will be held in Japan in July. According to team leader Kirill Sukhov, Russian students will participate in the Romanian Master of Mathematics remotely, being at the site of the Sirius Educational Center. By the way, last year our team won two gold and two silver medals in this competition, taking first place in the overall team standings.
— The tasks of the Romanian Master of Mathematics are similar in terms of difficulty and subject matter to the tasks of the International Mathematical Olympiad, so participation in the first of them is an excellent training, — said Kirill Sukhov.
