The head of the organizational and mobilization department of the Central Military District, Major General Alexander Linkov, was appointed to temporarily act as commander of the troops of the Central Military District (CMD), Kommersant-Ural was told in the press service of the CMD.
“He will temporarily act as commander of the Central Military District during the absence of Major General Alexander Lapin,” the press service said. The reasons for the absence of General Lapin in the Central Military District were not disclosed.
