Director of the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Rinat Enikeev filed a letter of resignation. The document was signed at the end of April, writes RBC with reference to a source in the central office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The reasons for the dismissal were not specified.

RBC’s interlocutors noted that there had not yet been a decree on the dismissal of Rinat Enikeev, but the director of the department had already said goodbye to his employees. According to one of the sources of the publication, the report was written by Mr. Enikeev on the recommendation of the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to RBC sources, Rinat Enikeev was the initiator of the fire supervision reform adopted in 2021. On January 1, 2021, new fire regulations came into force in Russia. Then the practice of continuous checks was canceled and the so-called “smart control” was introduced. The Ministry of Emergency Situations began to assign a separate category of fire risk to each object. For them, the frequency of supervisory activities in the field of fire safety was individually established.

On website Ministry of Emergency Situations Rinat Enikeev is still listed as the head of the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work. Mr. Enikeev has been holding this position since August 2017. He has the rank of lieutenant general.
