September traditionally sees an increase in viral diseases. In addition to the notorious coronavirus, there are almost one and a half thousand infections in Moscow. Therefore, preventive measures will definitely not hurt anyone.

Infectious disease doctor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nikolai Malyshev announced this at a press conference at MK.

– I recommend wearing a mask. If you are sick, be sure to wear it, this is a matter of culture. But for prevention, a mask is also important, especially in public transport and at work, said Nikolai Malyshev.

Another important tip is to maintain social distancing whenever possible. The incidence drops as people move away from each other.

As soon as a child gets sick, you need to remove him from the group – kindergarten or school. And it’s better for adults to isolate themselves as much as possible.

As for folk prevention measures, the MK guest considers them useless. “Ginger teas, which are popular among Russians, are tasty, but nothing more,” says Nikolai Malyshev. “However, if you believe in traditional medicine, maybe tea will help you.”
